Girls’ Football

Lily G reports on the team’s season so far:
“The girls’ U15 football season has started off with a bang following a comfortable 7-2 win against Ashcroft Technology Academy. Despite only having six players, we persevered, came through and won with a positive mentality.  

“Throughout the past few weeks, it has been nice to see new people attending training sessions and becoming part of the squad. Girls’ football is growing rapidly in school, with lots of new girls at training every week, making matches a lot more competitive and fun. Melody D in particular, showing her confidence and skill in training and in her first game, was a wonderful thing to see.

  “I would like to give a shout out to Beatrice E who scored two goals and Kyanna T who scored a hat-trick against Ashcroft! The other two were own goals. Sharon O gave a great performance with some outstanding saves in goal. Overall, from a player’s perspective, it was a great game and also a sign of incredible team growth since Year 8.”
